Air Travel
1 An electronic ticket or e-ticket is part of an airline's "paperless ticket system" − your reservation is held in the airline's reservations system, but no physical ticket is issued or required.
2 At the check-in counter you will need just a recognised photo-ID (preferably a passport) in order to receive your boarding pass.
3 Whilst it is not mandatory, it is a good idea to carry a printed copy of your itinerary with you when you travel. You can access and print out details in an itinerary format electronically. ________________________________
Apart from the obvious environmental and cost savings, it also means that tickets don't need delivery, and most importantly, e-tickets can't be lost or stolen like printed ones. ________________________________
Under the electronic ticket system you will receive an itinerary confirmation email once you have completed your purchase. ________________________________
Where we have made your reservation on your behalf you should contact us - we're only too happy to help, either via email: Travel@houseoftahiti.com.au or directly by telephone on 1300 TAHITI or 1300 82 44 84 (Sydney AUSTRALIA Time) 9.00am - 7.00pm 7 days a week. ________________________________
Please note that the following is a guide only – if you have any specific questions we would suggest that you contact the airline concerned directly)
International Flights:
1 In Economy or Coach Class, passengers are able to check two pieces of up to 20kg (44lb) each. In addition one cabin bag, with total dimensions of less that 115cm (45in.) is permitted (eg. 50[l]+30[h]+25[w]per passenger).
2 In First or Business Class, passengers are able to check two pieces of up to 30kg (66lb) each, and in addition may carry one cabin bag with total dimensions of less that 115cm (45in.)are permitted (eg. 50[l]+30[h]+25[w]per passenger).
3 Please remember that airlines will charge a supplementary fee directly at check-in for any excess baggage. As this is generally expensive, we would suggest that you check the weight of your baggage before you depart for the airport.
4 It is also important to note that if your travel includes inter-island flights, that you check the applicable baggage allowances as these are generally less-generous than those for international flights.
Inter-Island Flights (operated by Air Tahiti):
1 The allowance per passenger is generally 10kg (22lb) – however this is increased to 20kg (44lb) per passenger upon presentation of a passport accompanied by proof (a copy of your itinerary) of international arrival and departure travel.
2 A cabin bag with total dimensions of less that 115cm (45in.) is permitted (eg. 50[l] +30[h] +25[w]per passenger). ________________________________
The general rule is that you should check in at least three hours prior to departure for an international flight, or at least one hour prior to departure for an inter-island flight. ________________________________
1 Heightened security worldwide means that you are limited in what you can carry on board – especially in terms of liquids. Those liquids, gels and creams that you wish to carry into the cabin must be presented to airport security separately in a sealed plastic bag of around 20cm X 20cm (8in. x 8in.) in size. You should also note that you may not carry a quantity of more than 100ml (3.3 oz) of any one item.
2 easyAdvice: we strongly recommend that to expedite processing and generally make your travel as stress-free as possible, you check through as many articles in your suitcase, and limit the items that you carry on to the aircraft to just those items that are absolutely necessary. ________________________________
We suggest that you contact the government security services at the international gateway airport from where you will depart for further information. ________________________________

1 Flight timings are specified on the itinerary detailing your vacation arrangements. We suggest that you provide House Of Tahiti with your contact details [pre-departure] so that we can contact you if we receive news of delay or change.
2 Whilst an irregular occurrence, airlines can and do change flight schedules from time to time. In general unless the delay is operational, airlines will provide advance notice of these changes. We recommend that you check on flight times a week or so prior to departure if you have reserved two or months in advance. ________________________________
